Medicube is giving glass skin a high-tech upgrade. The Korean beauty brand’s new AGE-R Booster Pro X2 is taking centre stage at its three-day Wellness Club X2 pop-up in London, opening today at UNIT, 3 Hanover Square. Running until Sunday 11 October, the event gives beauty fans a chance to put the latest version of its viral facial device through its paces, with a few launch-day perks thrown in for good measure.
The beauty gadget that took over TikTok
The original AGE-R Booster Pro has become one of Medicube’s biggest success stories, helped along by a few very influential faces. Hailey Bieber featured its predecessor in her skincare routine on TikTok in 2023, before Kylie Jenner gave the Booster Pro another boost in 2025, telling her followers she was obsessed with it.
The four-in-one device combines Booster, MC, Derma Shot and Air Shot modes in a single tool, designed to support skincare absorption, improve the appearance of pores and give skin a firmer, more sculpted look.
It’s also a five-minute session – so it’s low-commitment and easy to integrate into an evening routine or a Sunday self-care plan. Social media before-and-afters have helped, too – shoppers had a steady stream of real-life demonstrations to scrutinise before spending their money.
Seven modes, twice the power
The X2 has had more than a cosmetic makeover. Compared with the original Booster Pro, it boasts twice the power output, a larger dual-head design and seven treatment modes across six intensity levels. The line-up includes three new additions:
- Dual Mode, which combines two treatments in one session (talk about power!) so you can target multiple concerns in one session
- Mask Mode, designed to be used over sheet masks to help boost absorption and keep your skin extra hydrated
- AI Mode, meanwhile, offers personalised routine recommendations through the AGE-R app
If you’re a fan of the OG device, you’ll still be able to enjoy its four original settings (now with updated technology), each aimed at a different skin concern: Booster Mode helps skincare absorb more effectively and targets dullness; Air Shot Mode focuses on the appearance of enlarged pores, excess sebum and uneven texture; MC Mode targets fine lines and loss of bounce, aiming for plumper-looking skin; and Derma Shot Mode focuses on facial definition, particularly around the cheeks and jawline.
Put your skin to the test
Not sure which setting you should be after? Medicube is offering on-site skin analysis to help visitors find their recommended mode, followed by the chance to try the device alongside the brand’s skincare range. The set-up is part product playground, part beauty consultation – so take a seat and enjoy.
Trade in the old for the X2
There’s an incentive to upgrade, too. The Booster Pro X2 costs £155 at the pop-up, dropping to £120 when you trade in an eligible electronic facial skincare device – a £35 saving, whether your old gadget is a Medicube or another brand. Qualifying purchases also come with gifts including tote bags and masks, while limited-edition merchandise features London-themed keychains. For collectors, there’s a special X2 range with exclusive bunny-shaped device heads and a pouch (consider it a hare-raising addition to your bathroom shelf!).
The London stop is the third leg of a global pop-up tour organised by APR, Medicube’s parent company, following events in New York and Los Angeles. Paris is next, from 23 to 25 October.
